Argh! Death to the Infidels!

For those of you out there peeing in your pants over the recent Disney acquisition of Marvel... please, please, think before you rant. Please take into account the fact that Disney almost certainly only wants a cut of the many licesing fees recently raked in by comic book companies licensing out to Hollywood to make movies based on their comics. Please take into account the fact that Disney already owns several edgier, more adult subsidiaries and that they are no strangers to pg-13 and R rated content. People hear "Disney" and they suddenly think Mickey Mouse. It's only common for the unwashed masses to make that simple minded association (that any 5 year old would). PLEASE, I'm begging you! You are Deviants! Keep in mind that Disney also owns Miramax, Touchstone, and Dimension films! (For a list of Disney's assets, see [link]) Do you really think Disney wants to kill a cash cow by capping off Wolverine's claws with fuzzy, pink, bunny sheaths? Seriously, people. Damnit. I'm done.

No, of course not but that would be admittedly hilarious which, I believe, is the thought driving many of these disney marvel images on Devart recently. I particularly liked Deadpool as a disney princess.

I agree. I started getting annoyed early on at everyone who cried "inevitable crossover!". I understand this was a deal about money and stock market values. I was still supremely unhappy to hear about it... but I don't think Marvel will be changing all that much.

Wolverine is NOT cute! Well... at least not from a guy's perspective... I don't know what goes on in the brains of women >.> Maybe the fake-hugh-jackman wolverine can wear them. He's effeminite enough to pull it off. :P

Heh... tranny art IS hillarious. It does get annoying seeing pic after pic of Mickey Mouse with Wolverine claws though. My only issue there is lack of creativity. I loathe histeria and alarmism. There's too much of that going on in the world.

It is disheartening knowing that the pricing of Marvel comics will now be at the mercy of the corporate "think tank" of the Multi-billion-dollar international-conglamerate at Disney's round table. Hopefully they will hold true that they will make their assets available to Marvel, which will drive prices down.

Truth be told, I don't even like his character. I didn't like him when his past was mysterious, and I didn't like him when his past was revealed. He's got claws and can heal a bit faster than normal people. Big deal. Collosus has metal all over, and many other mutants cropped up over the years with equivalent or greater amounts of adamantium and healing speed. I guess I just never got swept up in comics at all, much less into the Wolverine fanbase.
